A styptic alum pencil should be available in every man's bathroom cabinet. When shaving accidents happen, the styptic alum pencil calms the bleeding and tightens the damaged skin. In other words: the wound stops bleeding within a few seconds. Perfect when shaving!
Usage:
Apply a drop of water to the tip of the styptic pencil and apply the tip to the affected area. The aluminium-potassium sulphate in the styptic pencil has a cauterizing effect on the skin and therefore it can sting a little bit when it comes in contact with the cut. This is however perfectly normal.
