Penhaligon’s Quercus is a classic chypre perfume that was created in 1996. The perfumer Christian Provenzano has given life to a lovely and contemporary fragrance, appreciated by both men and women. The fragrance opens up with lemon, lime, mandarin, bergamot and basil. The heart note is composed of sweet jasmine, spicy cardamom and delicate lily-of-the-valley. Finally a hint of basil persists in the base note along with oakmoss, sandalwood, galbanum, patchouli, musk and amber. The fragrance is elegant and proud which reflects in its name – Quercus is latin for British Oak.
