An alum stick, or block, is one of the most practical products that every man should have close to hand.

Alum or alum, with its chemical name potassium aluminum sulphate, is made from aluminum sulphate and water, and it has a pore-contracting effect. When pores constrict, blood flow is stopped in just a few seconds, and it also works as a disinfectant. It may sting a little when it comes in contact with the wound, but the burning sensation is completely normal and will disappears quickly.

How to use:

Both alum sticks and alum blocks work in the same way. You moisten the stick/block and press it against the cut.

Be sure to clean the stick or block after use, so that bacteria do not spread. Clean the used area with a little water, but dont keep the whole piece under running water.
