Beard Oil
FAQ
Why should you use beard oil?
WHY SHOULD YOU USE BEARD OIL?
There are several reasons to use beard oil.
First, there are the obvious aesthetic benefits. Beard oil softens and tames the beard hairs, giving your beard a noticeable shine. Many beard oils also have a pleasant fragrance, helping you feel fresh and well-groomed.
But applying beard oil is more than just a detail in your grooming routine. Beard oil contains nourishing ingredients that help prevent a dry, itchy beard base. An irritated beard base can make you scratch and fiddle with your beard, potentially introducing bacteria or fungus.
Additionally, constant scratching can damage your beard, preventing it from reaching its full, thick potential.
How to use beard oil?
Apply the beard oil to clean and dry facial hair. If the beard is damp, the oil won’t absorb as well, so make sure it’s completely dry.
Then follow these steps:
- Drop 2-4 drops of oil into your palm (a little goes a long way) and rub your palms together.
- Run your palms down the beard in its natural direction. This ensures the oil penetrates the beard hairs.
- Use your fingers to comb through the beard so the oil reaches the beard base and your skin.
- Finish by brushing your beard with a beard brush to give it the desired shape.
- If you want to use wax, apply it afterwards.
Should you use beard oil even if you have a shorter beard?
You should use beard oil even if you have a shorter beard. The risk of fungal growth is naturally lower, but shorter beards also tend to itch, which beard oil helps to prevent.
If you plan to grow your beard longer, it’s a good idea to start using beard oil while your beard is still short. This helps strengthen the beard and nourish the beard base right from the beginning.
How often should you use beard oil?
You can use beard oil daily. Make it part of your morning routine, and you’ll soon notice less itchiness in your beard base and a more pronounced shine in your beard.
