After a long and cool spring, we finally start to get some summer heat. This means that we put our heavy spicy fragrances aside and refresh our fragrance wardrobe with fresh, light and even some sweet scents. For some of us, the summer holiday have already begun, others has to wait a while longer. In front of this summer there are crispy citrus fragrances with notes like sea, air and fresh cut grass that are the hottest.
During the warmer periods of the year, there are the marine notes (also called ozone and water notes) that stand out. Refreshing scents that capture the feelings of ocean, fresh mountain air and freshly washed sheets. They are usually perceived as "pure" fragrances.
This summer we will sense the scent of Italy. Fruity citrus notes rinsed with marine notes and often resting on a wooden base. The top notes disappear relatively quickly in many scents so take a little extra look on what's in the heart and base notes to find a scent that suits you.
3 favourite scents this SuMMeR
1 BOIS 1920 Oltremare – A masculine scent that instantly leads the imagination to the ocean, its light breeze and the smell of waves breaking the rocks. A scent for the great nature, the sea and the horizon. An exciting and unusual introduction where green lemon and lime are mixed with refreshing sweet orange, sicilian lemon, intense Italian bergamot and pomerans.
2 Floris Cefiro – A fresh scent of citrus and bergamot meets the spicy notes of cardamom, nutmeg and sweet jasmine, then finished with a base of wood. Cefiro means "mild breeze" in Italian and is inspired by the warm winds sweeping from the Mediterranean Sea across the Italian coast.
3 Eight & Bob Cap D’Antibes –Inspired by Antibes, a small village on the French Riviera where the French aristocrat and perfume connoisseur Albert Fouquet spent long holidays together with the elite of Europe's aristocrats in the 1930s. Sun, sailing and sumptuous parties were on the program and well at home in Paris, during cold winter evenings, Fouquet dreamed of these adventures and decided to recreate the feeling in a scent that became one of his absolute favorites.
