ITCHING BEARD

Why does your beard itch? It's either that the beard hairs are growing after a shave, and once they've grown a few millimetres, they simply fold into the skin and create an itchy, stinging irritation. This problem resolves itself once the beard has grown a little. Another common cause of beard irritation is that the skin is not sufficiently moisturised, and beard oil and a good brush are the answer! The beard oil should be massaged in (using the brush) to moisturise the dry skin that is crying out for air underneath. So it's important not to just apply the oil to your beard, but to really work it into your skin. Using the brush also removes dead skin cells that are clogging pores and hair follicles, which is also a reason why the beard base is itchy.
