L'Occitane

Since the beginning, L'Occitane put a lot of focus into creating environmentally-friendly skincare
products, scents inspired by the blooming fields in Provence and grooming products specifically
created to calm the facial skin after shaving.

The brand L'Occitane was born in 1981, when Baussan opened his first tiny boutique in a
small Provençale village.

Olivier Baussan was only 23 years old when he started to sell distilled rosemary oil in Provence.
When his business started to take off, Baussan expanded his collection to include creams and
soaps. He gathered inspiration for these from the beautiful French landscapes in which he grew
up.

With one foot in Provence and the other in the global environment, L'Occitane has written a true success story.
