The Mojave Desert is a place where extreme geographical climatic conditions prevail and have been named after the American Indians term for "beside the water". In this barren, wild area there are trees and plants, some of them far older than many civilizations, which defy the challenges of the weather gods and the climate. The flower Mohavea confertiflora, also called the ghost flower, is a rare species that is not afraid to grow in this inhospitable terrain. Byredo's scent Mojave Ghost is thus a story of survival, and a tribute to this delightful flower.
At the top is the Indian medicinal plant ambrette and the sweet, full-bodied fruit sapodill which is supposed to resemble ripe pears. These odd ingredients, in the heart note, turn into a blend of magnolia, sandalwood and powdery violet on top of a base of creamy musk, amber and cedar.
