Intimate shaving involves shaving the hair around intimate areas such as the genitals and can be performed for aesthetic, hygienic or comfort reasons. For a safe shave, one should prepare the skin by cleansing and exfoliating, use a sharp razor with shaving gel designed for sensitive areas, shave in the direction of hair growth, rinse with cold water and afterwards apply a soothing cream.
