Kumquat

Kumquats are a small citrus fruit grown around the world but mainly in Southeast Asia and the U.S.. Kumquats are usually in some Asian countries preserved with the aid of salt or sugar and is said to cure sore throat, otherwise it is often used for drinks or marmalade.

The essential oil from kumquats are extracted by cold pressing and gives a sweet and tangy aroma reminiscent of orange mandarin, but also hints of pineapple.
