Sea daffodil (Sand lily)

Sea daffodil, also known as Sand lily, has a rich, sweet and exotic lily scent with distinct notes of white flowers, wax and spices. The scent, which is most pronounced at night, is more reminiscent of the full-bodied, heady sweetness of tuberose than of a common Easter or Whitsun lily. Behind the rich sweetness lies a subtle, fresh hint of salty sea air, sand and beach grass. In the world of perfumery, the ingredient is extremely rare as the plant is protected and cannot be harvested naturally. Most perfume houses therefore recreate the scent synthetically by combining notes of vanilla, ylang-ylang and sunny molecules.
