Gris Charnel Extrait is a 30 per cent concentration of the original Gris Charnel fragrance, here given a woodier and deeper nuance by inviting cedarwood and patchouli into the mix.
The original Gris Charnel, perfumer Mathilde Bijaoui's own favourite scent, is inspired by the open-air museum and promenade Quai Saint-Bernard on the Seine in Paris, where people often gather to dance on summer evenings. Iris absolute and the floral note of cistus together with black tea and cardamom give way to bourbon vetiver, rich fig and creamy sandalwood.

The scent is fantastic, but longevity and sillage are not as expected. The fragrance projects well for the first two to three hours, after which it becomes a "skin-scent" and you have to get close to detect it. After about six hours, it disappears completely, although it lingers very long on clothes.
Extremely good! Starts fruity and spicy, then becomes darker and woodier. Unique but quite accommodating at the same time. Best suited for fall and winter.
