BDK Parfums Villa Neroli EdP

"I imagined a garden of orange trees on Capri, a garden of abundance overlooking the Faraglioni, thousand-year-old cliffs eroded by the wind, the rain and the sea. When the sun is barely down, this garden takes on an air of honeyed sweetness."

This is how perfumer Alexandra Carlin describes the intention behind this homage to the citrus note neroli, the oil extracted from the pomeranian tree that creates the summery citrus we often associate with the Mediterranean and the Italian coast. Lemon from Calabria, neroli essence from Tunisia and petit grain open this aquatic citrus scent, followed by orange blossom absolute and rose absolute. The base notes include vanilla, vetiver and patchouli.

The brand's founder David Belenek's first experience of Italian Capri, its high cliffs, coastlines and vibrant scents at sunset made such an impression on him that he chose to dedicate three marine fragrances to his Azur Collection, of which Villa Néroli is one.
