Rhubarb

Rhubarb is a plant that originated in China, Mongolia and Siberia. The plant has been known since the 1600s, when it was used as a medicinal plant. During 1700 and the 1800s began using rhubarb in cooking. Rhubarb is usually boiled, to cream, jam and pies. Since it is very acidic it requires much sugar when cooking.

The scent is fresh and green. Use of rhubarb in perfumes gives a metallic and cool character.
