Francesca Bianchi Byzantine Amber Handmade Sample

This is a handmade 1ml perfume sample that lasts 2-3 days. 

Byzantine Amber is an intense and decadent perfume, reflecting a great civilisation in the final stages of its splendour - splendour and opulence giving way to darkness and decay. The fragrance is inspired by the grandeur and drama of Gustave Moreau's painting Salome, as well as the beautiful gold mosaics of Ravenna from the height of Byzantine civilisation, doomed to decay over time. 

Here we find geranium - fruity, floral, spicy and slightly green - contrasting with the dry mineral qualities of ambergris and styrax. The backbone of the perfume is a rich and warm amber accord enriched with cinnamon, one of the world's most sensual spices. The base notes darken and deepen the composition with the help of leathery, smoky and animalic notes, which add intensity and character.
