Fantastic green balsamic scent. Lost even more that I thought.
On the occasion of Gents' 20th anniversary, in collaboration with Japanese niche brand Di Ser, we have created the perfume Kamikura, a celebration of spiritual and bodily purification, Nordic tradition and male beauty rituals.
In Japanese culture, 'Kamikura' is a sacred place that is considered the home of gods and spiritual beings. In these sacred places, people perform purification rituals, dance and sing, and make offerings to Kami, the higher state of humanity after death. The perfume was created to bring hope for happiness, success and peace, and by spraying the perfume, the place you are in becomes a sacred Kamikura. It is therefore a scent that is meditative, spiritual and soothing.
Purity is also Kamikura's main expression, as it opens fresh with lime and yuzu and balsamic pine from the ezo and todo trees. These soon give way to lavender and vetiver and finally to soapy oakmoss and woody accords of cypress, patchouli and oud. It's a scent that opens with the typical Japanese roots of Di Ser but then evolves into a classic European-style woody perfume, a nod to Swedish nature and purity culture.
The perfume is made in a limited edition.
Fantastic green balsamic scent. Lost even more that I thought.
Love from the first sniff. Was little bit scared, cause it was a blind buy. I found Hikaru Daichi little bit too sharp for my taste, so was thinking it will be maybe simillar, due to the quite same profile. Its so airy, natural, sweet candied lemon bit sweet fruity, piney, woody, but also fresh spicy. Its very gentle, thin. Its type of scent which you can feel only when you are not focusing on it, its more like second skin scent, like spring breeze from hinoki forest. The Levander is quite prominent, but its so good incorporated in blend, that is somehow more supporting woody notes and giving them extra herbal touch. Sometimes the pine+yuzu got almost green hojari frankincense impression. A very gentle, polite fragrance with elegant manners in the Japanese spirit. So if you are looking for type of scent: people will smell you sooner than you will arrive and will smell you after you leave this will be not perfume for you. In case of many Di ser fragrances you need to left the western “designer” perception behind, also bold oriental approch behind, cause you will not fully appreciate it. And this is also aim of the brand, not leaving a trail behind you, it should be more as visiting the nature, which is not a eternal experience. This scent cant bother anyone at all, its more safe than regular mainstream perfumes and at the same time is artisinal and indie ( if you can call it like that ). It have more to the essential oil side aura, but the materials are really pure essences of high quality gentle disstilation process.
This took a few wears before I could really appreciate the blending. The opening was eye opening and packed a punch which I hadn’t experienced in other offerings from the house. Very pleasurable experience.
One of my favorite perfumes; it's masculine, mature, and fresh (smells like nature) without ever getting boring. Every time I smell it, it smells better than the last time. It's so sad that this is a limited run. The only thing that gets a little close is Terre d'Hermès, and Kamikura smashes it. 10/10, and I would say that it has a perfect concentration; you can smell it well, and it lasts about a workday, while not being too powerful and overwhelming.
I bought a sample of it before the summer. I can't claim it's the best scent, but there's something special about it. I can't forget it, and now and then I go and smell it. It's like a secret affair or forbidden fruit. I don't want to wear it and go out to share the scent with others but just have it on myself when I'm at home. It gives me a special feeling that's hard to describe. I think I'll buy a bottle just to have it, to be able to refill the magic at home sometimes =)
Fresh and nice!
Really fresh and meditative as many describe on Fragrantica. Clearly sense Lime and Pine trees. Had hoped for more Yuzu, but it's there somewhere. It lasts at least 6+ hours. Really cool that all this is achieved with only natural ingredients! I give it 4/5 for the price.
Was down in Helsingborg in June and smelled this. Bought it a week later because I couldn't stop thinking about it!
Excellent perfume
From the first spray, I just wanted more, and you could say I've become somewhat addicted. It develops very nicely and settles magically on my skin.
