Easy-to-use smooth razor that shaves close to the skin
Safety razor from German Merkur in the Model 15C. Made of steel with a hand-tooled high-gloss chrome finish. Sturdy and reliable design made for use throughout life.
This is a so-called Open Comb razor who is best suited for coarse beards. This razor is easier to use the Merkur 41C and is therefore recommended for those who want to start using an Open Comb razor.
To this razor, use double razor blades from Merkur, Solingen, Derby or Feather. A double blade lasts up to three times as long as regular razorblade with 3-blade systems.
One Merkur Super Platinum razor blade is included with the razor.

Very good for coarse beards.
Extremely smooth and easy-to-use razor. The short handle makes it especially suitable as a travel razor.
Perfect razor when you need to shave off a long beard... recommended.
All things considered, a good razor. However, I had thought that an open comb razor would shave closer. For me, it feels more like a disposable razor; you have to apply quite a bit of pressure for it to shave closely, and use really sharp blades. On the positive side, you could say it's an excellent razor for beginners, with minimal risk of cuts.
Fantastic close and smooth shave! Not difficult to use at all.
It's not the razor's fault that I missed checking the weight before buying... Had I noted that, I would have chosen the Merkur 41c instead. As I said, it's too light. Bought it yesterday, tried it today. It won't be used by me anymore. Unfortunately, it will become a shelf warmer.
Shaves well without complications (bleeding, scraped skin, deep wounds). The model is somewhat front-heavy, but performs its task admirably.
Great razor! Not aggressive at all, which might be expected from a razor with an open comb. Rather efficient. Small and handy. The only downside, in my opinion, is the relatively low weight, which unconsciously makes one, or rather me, apply a bit of pressure on the razor, which you shouldn't do. Otherwise, it works well.
Same thing here. I don't know if I've chosen the right one, and I think the shaving ends up very uneven.
