Myrrh
Myrrh is a type of resin derived from a particular tree that grows wild on the Arabian Peninsula and in parts of eastern Africa. Myrrh has been used for incense and perfumes for thousands of years and was one time worth its weight in gold, literally.
From the resins extraction of essential oils is done by distillation. The scent becomes medical, warm, dry and bitter with notes of resin and spices.
