Nice razor to look at, very well balanced and has a very good grip. The slightly thinner head makes it easier to shave under the nose. The blade is completely hidden, not protruding on the sides. The foot support is very nice and the steel quality is very good, likely to last for many years without showing wear. That's probably why it's so expensive, as the shaving result is not better than other razors.

Fin høvel å se på, meget godt balansert og veldig godt grep. Litt tynnere hode som gjør at den er lettere og barbere under nesen. Og bladet blir helt skjult, stikker ikke ut på sidene. Fotstøtten er meget fin og stålkvaliteten er meget bra og holder sikkert i mange år uten å vise slitasje. Sikkert derfor den er så dyr, for resultatet av barberinga er ikke bedre enn andre høvler.

Provides a comfortable and close shave. Should go for two rounds. Almost impossible to cut yourself. Quality steel, no changes in color after a couple of years of use. This will be used for generations.

Gir behagelig og tett barbering. Bør ta to runder. Nesten umulig å skjære seg. Kvalitetsstål, ingen endringer i farge etter et par års bruk. Denne vil bli brukt i generasjoner.

Kvaliteten är högre än anat, tyngden och greppet är fantastiskt. Hyveln är fenomenal och faktiskt utan fel. Använder med Feathers rakblad. Hållaren/stället är pricken över i:et. - Jag är lyrisk!

Bought a King C Gillette safety razor (about 200 SEK) a while ago to try out this type of shaving. I noticed that I liked it, and went for an AS-D2S. Expensive, of course, but the quality feeling, both in terms of the razor itself and the shaving result, is outstanding. My first razor looks and feels like a toy in comparison.

Köpte en King C Gillette säkerhetshyvel (cirka 200 kr) för ett tag sedan, för att testa denna typ av rakning. Märkte att jag gillade det, och slog till på en AS-D2S. Dyr såklart, men kvalitetskänslan, både vad gäller själva hyveln och rakresultatet, är outstanding. Min första hyvel ser ut och känns som en leksak i jämförelse.
