Alone in Babylon from Stéphane Humbert Lucas is a flower blooming where you least expect it. Inspired by the myth of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, Stéphane Humbert Lucas reinterprets the gourmand theme – dark, sophisticated and fruity, built on contrasts rather than sweetness alone.
The fragrance is the first modern gourmand in the 777 Collection. The top notes open with intoxicating tuberose and plantain, shadowed by an accord of petroleum and cosmetic, synthetic nail polish. In the heart, castoreum, the synthetic fragrance molecule floralozone and Mysore sandalwood take over, giving the fragrance a deeper, more complex character where animalic facets mingle with marine and ozonic notes as well as creamy, woody accents. In the base, everything melts together into a multifaceted blend of vanilla, tonka bean, leather and musk.
Alone in Babylon is a modern creation that challenges the traditional idea of the fragrance category we call gourmands, with playful fruitiness at its core and a multifaceted character in the drydown. Alone in Babylon is a natural choice for the curious fragrance wearer who doesn't shy away when beauty is joined by something strange, unexpected or even a little offbeat. A distinctive fragrance for those who appreciate fruity, sensual gourmands but would rather leave the predictable to someone else.
