Surgical Steel 316L

The AS-D2 belongs to the second generation of Feather stainless steel razors, and its functional three-piece design with a closed comb makes it a true ultra-premium shaving tool created with exact tolerances. It is also said to be the first razor manufactured exclusively using the stainless steel variant known as Marine Grade 316L surgical steel, which can likely be explained by the fact that the molybdenum reinforcement that makes the metal extra corrosion-resistant also makes it more difficult to work with, and thereby even more exclusive.

The Mild Side

When describing how different razors behave, they are usually divided into mild or aggressive razors, and in that respect the AS-D2 sits safely on the milder side of the scale. Razors like this are usually preferred by those with normal/fine beard growth who also shave regularly, but they are also suitable for anyone with sensitive skin since they cause less wear on the skin.

The Feather AS-D2, however, is especially well suited to anyone taking their first step into the exciting world of wet shaving, thanks to its narrow blade angle and the small gap between the blade and the edge of the razor.
