SUMMER PERFUMES
Best in test
Whether we spend the summer at home or take a trip to warmer destinations, a scent that evokes sunshine and warm summer evenings always adds an extra boost. Here are some examples of versatile perfumes that enhance the summer feeling, whether you're traveling or relaxing on the balcony.

#1
Acqua di Parma Blu Mediterraneo Mandarino Di Sicilia
Acqua di Parma's latest addition to the blue, summery Blu Mediterrano series, Mandarino di Sicilia, is probably one of the most interesting they have released so far. Not only do you find wonderfully moist, fresh citrus notes of, among other things, languorous mandarin and blood orange, but also for a performance and longevity that actually surprises greatly. You almost wonder if Acqua di Parma has changed the formula, in which case it's for the better.
This is as close to Italian summer as you can get. A hit on the beach as well as on the outdoor terrace at sunset.
#2
eight and bob cap d'antibes
Eight and Bob's marine, sailboat-inspired version of the original perfume used by the Kennedy brothers is hard to beat as a summer fragrance. It simply doesn't get more Riviera, sunset and marina than this. Only the sailing shorts, sunglasses and tennis shirt are missing. Many of the green, herbal notes of the iconic ‘original perfume’ are also present in this fragrance, inspired by perfumer Fouquet's holidays in Antibes, a small village on the French Riviera - but with an added touch of marine and sweet-fruity notes from cool and refreshing mint, as well as violet leaf, cedar and birch.
One of the reasons this perfume takes first place is its effective ability to evoke exotic Mediterranean associations in relation to its relatively low price, and still feels as relevant and modern today as it did when it was launched in 1938, perhaps more so than ever.
#3
widian – black IV parfum
For those who want a bit of Arabic flavour with a dark spicy base but still with a fruity citrus in the upper layer combined with French extravagance, exclusive Widian's number IV from the Black Collection is a real highlight - fresh and reasonably discreet yet complex and expressive. Top notes include bergamot, blackcurrant and plum. The heart notes are thoroughly floral, while the base notes are a sensual, rich blend of vanilla, musk, leather and sandalwood.
In Black IV, we find intriguing aromatic elements amidst the freshness that makes it a perfect summer evening perfume, at the party or on the terrace, and makes us dream away to oriental settings with a French, elegant touch where East meets West.
#4
Molton Brown
Bluebell & Wild Strawberry EdP
A really nice unisex fragrance that feels like summer personified is Molton Brown's recently released Bluebell & Wild Strawberry, with juicy notes of wild strawberries and fresh bluebells. There are also soft floral notes and a warm base of cedar and musk. Bluebell & Wild Strawberry captures the essence of a blooming English garden in the morning mist - fresh, natural and harmonious, perfect for both everyday and special occasions. It's simply almost impossible not to like it. And you'll be drawn to the lovely blue colour of the bottle.
The fragrance is also available in Bath & Shower Gel and Body Lotion.
#5
byredo – rose of no mans land EDP
Rose of No Mans Land was the soldiers' nickname for the Red Cross nurses at the front who saved thousands of lives during the First World War. The name inspired this perfume from Byredo, which is a celebration of selflessness and compassion.
Turkish rose petals and pink peppercorns are the top notes, followed by creamy fruity raspberry and rose absolute in the heart. The reassuring base is made up of rough papyrus and amber, resulting in a well-balanced floral creation that is also youthfully fruity and cool, a scent that makes you happy and makes the days feel even brighter. One of Swedish Byredo's most successful summer fragrances and very much unisex.
