SHOWER CREAMS

Best in Test

Yes, there is a big difference between the shower creams from the grocery store and the more expensive varieties. The truth is that the cheaper shower cream is usually so diluted with water and thickeners that it takes a larger amount of shower cream to wash clean. With a drier formula, you can both reduce consumption and get a better scent experience as the scent notes gets better in their concentrated form. We have tested the most popular shower creams on the market and the test panel agrees!

 the winner:BENJAMIN BARBER BLACK OAK

Motivation: Black Oak from Benjamin Barber is without doubt our most popular range. The scent is a blend of Oak, Sandalwood and Cedar, with base notes of rum. This shower gel has a smooth and "silky" texture that, to be honest, feels a bit like a gentle caress. It glides over the body and between the fingers in a nice way. It lathers least of the shower creams tested, which is appreciated by the test panel because we know that lather means that the product contains substances that dries the skin out.
If we should mention something negative, it is possible that the smell of Wood and Rum may be a little bit discreet. However, the feeling after the shower is very good, a slightly fragrant skin that actually feels a bit less dry than it usually does. Because we could not withstand the temptation, we followed up with Benjamin Barber Bodylotion Black Oak and the effect is unbeatable. A clean and fragrant skin that feels moisturized, smooth and balanced. The winner of this test is undoubted!

The Body Wash also comes in Oud and Saffron Leather scent:

No 2:Molton brown black peppercorn

Motvation: The Rolls Royce of shower creams and a favorite of many. The scent of Black Peppercorn reminds many of Fahrenheit, if you remember the 90's fragrance that was a blend of sweetness, male spicy and a little bit of violet? Black Peppercorn is less sweet and contains only a fraction of the vioet, but we dare say that if you tried this you will never go back. The consistency is very dry and concentrated, which means that this bottle, despite its higher price, is worth every penny. The bottle lasts forever, even for those who like to be generous with the shower soap or the one who is very dirty. The scent is full and not for it discreet, it follows you out of the shower and stays with you for at least an hour. Black Peppercorn is also available as EdP for those who want to refill the scent during the day. A really good buy!

No 3: tabac bath & Shower

Motivation: This spicy scent with elements of exotic wood was first made in 1959 by Mäurer & Wirtz, and is considered to be one of the most popular male scents throughout the ages. At Gents, it is still one of the best sellers, and as a shower cream, Tabac leaves no one disappointed. A good lather and a good scent that live up to expectations in the strength and clarity of the scent notes. This shower cream is a wonderful flashback from grandfather and grandfather's time, who may need another 10 years on the back before it can make a comeback in our bathroom cabinet under the epitetic "Retro". But one thing is certain - quality never goes out of time!
