he jewels were the starting point for a lifelong journey in the world of fragrance. Let us introduce our eminent fragrance expert with more than 20 years of experience and a string of awards to his name. A man with a nose for scents, Denis Vasilije
My grandfather was a barber, and I found inspiration early on as I watched and followed his routines in the salon. He was very meticulous about being clean-shaven, and aftershave and moisturizing were part of his daily routine. I also remember as a child going to my father's perfume cabinet and pulling out those jewels, you know, the enticing, almost forbidden ones. A pathway straight into adulthood
The jewels were my dad's perfume bottles back then, consisting of Paco Rabanne, Lacoste, and Grey Flannel. You could say that perfume was in the family, and the interest in perfume started early on. We wanted to smell good, and everything about perfume was very exciting. I even used aftershave before I had grown a beard or started shaving. This was the starting point for a lifelong journey in the world of fragrance, which has included some purchases and collecting
Best tips: Follow your own feeling when choosing a fragrance. Spray, smell, analyse, and feel... Is it just good, or does it evoke something deeper inside? Don't judge a perfume based on a particular scent note, but try to feel how it interacts with the others in the composition
