In Widian's luxurious fragrance Gold II Sahara (formerly called Gold II), it is the precious spice saffron and the scents that emerge from the landscape when this golden commodity is harvested, that is the inspiration. We already meet it in the top notes along with fruity orange and spicy elemi, the latter a yellowish resin with honey-like texture from the Philippine Elemi tree. In the heart notes we are greeted by soft rose and orange blossom that calms the senses and brings harmony. The other ingredient that plays the main role in the perfume is the similar golden note amber (amber) that we find in the base, but here we are however met by a more velvety form of warming amber than in the predecessor Gold I, and also surrounded by a sensual musk along with creamy vanilla and cedar.

Magically beautiful perfume with extremely high quality. The main notes in this are saffron, amber, and vanilla. The scent reminds me of Acqua di Parma Colonia Oud. Add amber, vanilla, and a touch of pure luxury, and you have Gold Sahara II. Very good longevity and projection. Lasts at least 12 hours.
