Lavender is strongly associated with aromatherapy and is widely used in massage and relaxation but also to a large extent to the perfume industry.

Lavender grows mainly in France and Italy, Lavender oil is extracted by distillation, and France's is leading producer. The scent is fresh, fruity and slightly herbaceous also somewhat woody and floral.
