Durga by D.S. & Durga is a green, floral fragrance, inspired by Kavi's (Durga's) visit to Delhi. Her uncle placed fresh tuberose flowers next to her bed every day. The tuberose flower is creamy white, green and narcotic, and this perfume uses genuine, precious concentrate.
Although many people love the scent of the flower, tuberose perfumes are not appreciated by everyone. Often when tuberose is recreated as a perfume, it becomes sugary, soapy or sticky, often with a synthetic ‘bubble gum’ quality. Genuine tuberose fragrance should therefore be made from genuine absolute concentrate, but it is extremely expensive and few people use it.
Apart from Oud, Orris Butter (a concentrate made from the flowers of the root iris pallida) is probably the most valuable raw material in the world. It takes three years to extract, and the yield is low. Together with a sunny, Mediterranean orange blossom absolute, chrysanthemum, the tropical ylang ylang and the fruity green, almost honeyed jasmine sambac, David Seth Moltz has here put together a tuberose fragrance consisting of high doses of genuine absolute extracts that elevate this contentious flower to unexpected heights.
Top notes: Melon, Green tuberose, Chrysanthemum

Base notes: Tuberose absolute, Jasmine sambac, Musk
