Guaiac tree

Guaiac tree is a tree variety that comes from the South - and Central America more tropical parts. Tree resin was long considered to have medicinal powers, and still used today in some cough medicines.

But the perfume oils extracted through distillation gives a rose-like aroma with hints of violets.
