Bond's signature scent, as iconic as his tuxedo. Because while he doesn't officially adopt a specific perfume in the films, the scent that most closely matches his style is No.89 by Floris. James Bond's creator Ian Fleming lived near the St James's area and regularly visited luxury shops in the area, including the prestigious Floris, at 89 Jermyn Street, whose address gave its name to the fragrance.

It was also here, in this setting, that No. 89 was created, a year before the publication of Fleming's debut novel 'Casino Royale'. The fragrance, which quickly became a bestseller, is said to be a nod to Fleming and was worn by him.

To celebrate 60 years of the iconic films, Floris launched a new perfume in honor of James Bond. The scent, aptly named No. 007, is a blend of fresh tones balanced with earthy and spicy nuances. The base consists of sensual rose which contributes to the deep character of the fragrance. A fitting tribute to his legacy that reflects his charisma and charm.

In 'Diamonds are Forever', we discover Bond's fondness for yet another scent in Eucris from Geo F. Trumper. A classic fragrance that exudes sophistication and elegance, and like No.89, it resonates with Bond's timeless charm and deep character.

THE ROUTINE STARTS AT DR.NO

Function and luxury are the words that perhaps best describe the start of Bond's grooming routine. 'Diamonds are forever' features one of our absolute favourite scenes, and perhaps the one that best describes how Bond wants it. On the edge of the bathtub is a Vodka Martini, with bottles for refills, and in front of him is a newspaper rack that allows him to read while using both hands for other things.

There was everything in the bathroom - Floris Limes Bath Essence for men and Guerlain bath cubes for women." - Dr.No

Even during a dirty mission, it is important for 007 not to compromise on his bathing routine. In 'Dr.No' he uses Limes Bath Essence from Floris, and the fact that Dr.No himself provides this makes it clear that Bond appreciates luxury and quality at all times. Because even though the goal is to eliminate 007, Dr.No prioritises the well-being of his eminent prisoner.

Unfortunately, after many years, Floris has stopped making Limes Bath Essence. Happily, for all Bond fans and non-fans for that matter, the Limes scent is available in EdT. A wonderfully pleasant and sophisticated citrus scent that opens with the freshness of lime and petitgrain and then develops with hints of green herb

For those still looking for something refreshing for the bath, Geo F. Trumper has provided us with a very nice shower gel with Lime in the lead role.

Live and let's shave

Unsurprisingly, the shaving ritual is also imbued with classic elements where elegance and sharpness best describe the execution. In the books, Bond uses the classic safety razor which is completely in line with his character. The safety razor has been used for over 300 years and is strongly associated with quality, craftsmanship and solid materials. The razor also appears in films, including the iconic snake scene with Roger Moore in 'Live and let die'.

"Sometimes the old ways are the best." - James Bond

It is only in 'Skyfall' that we witness a real razor in action as Moneypenny, with perfection, razor-sharp features and tension in the air, acts as a barber in an extraordinary way. The knife, which comes from one of the world's top manufacturers, has a genuine buffalo horn handle and a 5/8" bowl-shaped blade that makes it extremely sharp. Both the handle and the blade are magnificently reflected in the dramatic lighting of the film scene and you can see why the knife is a true collector's item.

70 YEARS OF INSPIRATION

For us, it's clear that James Bond's timeless appeal is in the details. The right choice of clothes, the right behaviour and, above all, the right products in the beauty routine are what make the difference. No matter who replaces Daniel Craig, we're sure the legacy will live on. For as long as the scents, tools and grooming routine remain, James Bond will continue to symbolise the gentleman and inspire men as he has for the past 70 years.
