Grapefruit Generation by D.S. & Durga is inspired by the colourful and eventful 1960s: a generational shift when society was shaped by new and disruptive ideas. Interest in Eastern poetry, Indian music, flower power and psychedelics flourished.
One place where some of this magic can be found is in Yoko Ono's ‘Grapefruit’, which invites the reader to perform rituals in concise Zen koan-like phrases. The fragrance Grapefruit Generation describes the exploration of a mythical Eastern garden bursting with fruits, flowers, leaves and sensual musk, with the mustily aromatic grapefruit at the base of the fragrance pyramid.
